10 Proven Tips to Keep Your WhatsApp Communication Secure and Private

WhatsApp is one of the most popular phone applications. With over two billion users worldwide, the application comes with many enabled security features, here are 10 steps you can follow to keep your WhatsApp communication secure and private.

1- Enable Two-Step Verification

Two-step verification adds another layer of security to your WhatsApp account. This feature requires you to enter a 6-digit verification code in addition to your password when logging in from a new device. To enable two-step verification, go to “Settings” > “Account” > “Two-step Verification” and follow the application screen steps.

2- Use End-to-End Encryption

End-to-end encryption is a secure method of communication that encrypts your messages, calls, photos, and files so that only you and the person you’re communicating with can see the content., so all your conversations are secure. it uses a unique End-to-end encryption key, this feature comes enabled by default and can’t be disabled.

3- Be Careful with Link Previews

received WhatsApp messages with a hyperlink can be a security risk even received from a friend or known sender. many hackers send a phishing attack from a hacked phone and it could be your friend’s phone.
